目的地更换機種問題

我是困難件我想辦貸款發問:

國泰飛長途的客機B747和A340-300,由不同的飛機師負責.通常飛機去到目的地,當天几個小時後便由上一班同事開回來. 其中一D目的地,如羅馬和南非,會按照季節更换機種,由747换成空巴,或由空巴轉747.这時候上一班的同事将如何更换?

Then there will be deadhead crew... What is means is crew flying off duty over to the destinations to take over the job left by the previous set of crew... So before the last set of crew for B747-400/A340-300, the airline will have to send an additional set of crew to those destinations to stand-by, this additional set of crew will take over the first trip back which is made by a different type of aircraft... For the last set of crew who worked on the flight just day or two before the change of type, the airlines will be sending them back to Hong Kong as deadhead crew, who will be seating there as a normal passenger... So for example... You said Rome which was previously flown by B747-400 and now change to A340-300 which change on 28/10, a set of A340-300 crew will be flown to Rome as deadhead to Rome a few days ahead, then take over the first A340-300 flight back to Hong Kong... Same case by vise-versa, for B747-400 crew who flown the last flight to Rome, they will have a few days rest then to fly on a A340-300 as deadhead crew back to Hong Kong... This doesnt only apply to pilots too as crew are also defined between Airbus and Boeing... So Airbus cabin crew will be able to fly A330/A340 while the Boeing cabin crew will be able to fly all B744/B777... 2006-10-30 05:29:23 補充： Usually these deadhead crew will receive half pay on the flight as they are required to wear their uniform and are representing the airlines... 2006-10-30 05:30:04 補充： Also, sometimes as the airlines wish to reduce cost, sometimes these deadhead crew will not have stopover time... Like flying over to Rome with the first A340-300 on 29/10 and do the duty on that flight back... 2006-10-30 05:32:09 補充： So that the airlines wont have to give them outport allowance... But for the last B747-400 flight to Rome, usually the airlines will give the crew a few days stopover before deadheading back to Hong Kong...
